Anyone but me.

Bleed.

Someone is screaming at the top of their lungs
and it doesn’t matter.

If you want to know how wrong you are
you must have courage.

Everyone is laughing at me, some run
because they are ashamed of their laughter
it is laughter none-the-less
their shame in it
only makes it worse

I want to cry
and cry out at the pain
I am bewildered
and I would cry
If no one was watching
if no one was laughing

Please. Please cry.
Just cry because it’s what you want
Don’t hold it in, for me,
for them.
for you.

Please. Please cry.

I try so hard to pretend it doesn’t bother me
To make them see
To let me be
all my actions now directed
to the aim of self-protected
I take a step and look around
but all I hear is the laughing sound
they’ve hidden their faces
and it’s just me
and I can’t stop wondering
what they see
I tried so hard
to not be me
to show them the person
I wish they would see
to show them the person
I want them to see
to show them that I’m anyone
but me.
