Change the Water

Tension, I am being held and holding
the I is being held and holding
the I is expression
A million points of light
the fingertips of God
the fingertips of life
reaching and touching itself
exploring it’s nature
like the cell
I am conscious
like the cell

It is not a thinking job
It is not a job for thinking
to think about it is to make it small
and personal
Like your ego.
it’s not a thinking job
it’s a job for your consciousness
it’s a job for your body mind
it’s a job for your spirit
it’s a job for your heart

All of these things are as big, at least
as your mind
but you treat them as if they don’t exist
because, like a country you’ve never traveled to,
they only exist in your mind,
only the idea of heart resides,
only the idea of spirit,
only the idea of body mind
only the idea of consciousness.

Ideas are like lightbulbs in locked rooms
they illuminate,
but if we don’t have the key to the door
the room will always be the same
they will illuminate the same,
like hell.
Ideas are like penny candy
we gobble them up and want more,
When we devour them, we become sick

We are full of ideas.

Like fish in a bowl.

It’s time to change the water.
