Kill or Help
Am I free now
Now that I know
And what do I know
Anyway
What you told me
What I read
What I agreed with
What if i don’t agree with anything
Then what do I call it?
I get the sense,
And that’s really all there is,
That there are answers
That suit me better
And by suit
I mean contribute to peace and joy
In my life.
In that sense
Knowing them might feel free er
Or maybe
If freedom is peace and joy,
Knowing them might be freedom.
If I know a color to be blue
I can decide
If I need to decide
In relation to Blue.
If I have a decision that requires blue
It’s good to know what’s Blue.
If I have a goal of more joy and peace
It’s good to know what decisions
Tend towards Joy and peace.
After all we live in a world of bricks
And if these bricks fall on us they hurt
And cut
And, maybe, kill.
And if we use these bricks, they can help
Protect, shelter
And live.
As far as our decisions go
And the way we treat ourselves
And our path
The bricks are real.
So, like the bricks,
I’ll treat my knowledge
As real
And consider it’s power
And potential to either
Kill me
Or help me live.
