A Sunset Color, again

Pink on grey in blue
A sunset color.
Is she there?
Is there a reason
Is there truth?

The silence
at the top
is Winter silence
and clear and bright
no violence.

Human brain
So stacked
like airplanes
in the snow
Nothing moves
but it’s all there
one after the other
tip to tail
tail to tip
nothing flies
nothing moves

I hear only the crunch
of cold snow
look up to pink on grey
inside of blue
Waiting to launch

But there is no launch
because there’s no where to go
the crunch of my boots
against the cold snow
staunch is my love
this is one thing
I know
and that’s about the only thing
and thank god
and thank me
and thank you
staunch is my love
everything else…
I don’t know.

Pink on grey in blue.
Is she here?
I like to think so.
I like to think so.
I’m smiling too.
