It had been so long…
and there you were
like nothing was different
like you had not been gone
I sat, agape
and then remembered
how heartbroken I was.
You saw this
and remembered too
and so
walked around the corner
of the bed
and sat down on my lap
I held you there
You held me there
and we remembered.
