Trying To Get Somewhere
I’m trying to get somewhere
But this pesky inspiration won’t leave me alone
I have a job to do
and I need to put aside
this
this saving the world
this inspiration from god
I do not have time for this
I cannot pull over for this
I need to be somewhere
I need to get somwhere
This pesky inspiration
filling my mind and my heart
with hope and joy
I’ll remember I tell myself
and I never do,
In fact I’ve spent more time
trying to remember what I’ve forgotten
than anything else.
I’m just trying to get somewhere.
