The Sharks are in the Water
can they condemn me
more than i condemn myself
what can they take from me
that I haven’t already laid eyes on
and with that
I turn my eyes towards the dark
the first thing I notice
is that it’s not fully dark
there are glimmers at the edges
like a glowing eclipse
I am hungry, now
hungry and indignant
the sharks are in the water
they can smell the blood
I have allowed it
