the need to understand
makes it very hard
to love you.

if I figure out the answer.

My experience of life
is that of a cloistered nun
my head the convent
I walk quietly
through neural pathways
of ancient stone
and believe what I find
and stay comfortable
and sane
with my hope
and when I say “sane”
what I mean
is
Dead.
