Michael Jordan

What life…
What Life! – I say!

I can say…
I got to watch Jordan play
I got to watch the greatest
of the day
and the year
and of all time
I got to watch Jordan play.

Today, when the greatests say
Jordan was the best
they ever saw play
and when you see the greatests
play and you are blown away
and then
there’s Jordan
and they all say
He’s far and away
the best they’ve ever seen.

I got to see Jordan play
I got to be alive
when that greatness was on display
I lived in this time
I
got to live
in this time.

And now today there’s fear
and pain
and most seem to be unhappy
with the rain
and caught up beyond return
in a hopeless refrain
forgetting
that they lived too
in the time that
Jordan Played.

When you’re down
when you’re out
If you want to dispell
The doubt
If you want to see again
and laugh and dance
and love the rain
just remember
and watch, because you can,
Michael Jordan
play the game.
